Lyssa started at Baird in 2020 and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. As a financial advisor, Lyssa provides comprehensive financial planning across areas such as retirement, investments, tax strategies, insurance, and estate planning, with the clients’ best interests at the forefront.
She carries a passion for planning and helping families, individuals, and their next generations reach their financial and personal goals. Lyssa’s attention to detail and ability to make concepts easy-to-understand can ensure clients will feel confident and informed when making decisions. She encourages an “Open Door Policy” where all questions are welcome.
Education/Experience
Lyssa graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance, Investment, and Banking. She also has a Certificate in Wealth Management, a CFP Board accredited program. In addition to holding the Series 7 and 66 licenses, she is licensed in Life and Health Insurance and has completed advanced training in long-term care (LTC) planning.
In 2021, Lyssa was accepted into Baird’s Foundations Program, where she spent nearly two years gaining invaluable experience rotating with departments such as Baird Research, Financial Planning, Investment Solutions and Private Wealth Management. From there, she has been working with our clients since November 2022 and completed her Financial Advisor Training in June 2023.
Community Involvement / Community Involvement
Lyssa grew up in Mequon and now lives in Shorewood with her husband, Sam, and their golden retriever Phil. She enjoys spending time with family & friends, traveling, and being outside as much as she can.
Lyssa is passionate about her involvement with Girls on the Run of Southeastern WI and serves as their secretary. She also enjoys volunteering with local organizations and is dedicated to promoting greater financial literacy. Lyssa and Jess regularly teach retirement & financial planning workshops through various local educational institutions.
